One Croatian island ranks among the best in Europe

One Croatian island has been ranked among the best in Europe in the Conde Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards for 2022.

The Dalmatian island of Hvar has been ranked the 9th best in Europe voted for by readers of the popular travel magazine.

Hvar scored 83.17 points and finished ahead of The Azores in Portugal and just behind the Greek island of Santorini which scored 83.22.

Croatia welcomes 10.3 million tourists so far in 2022


Apart from Europe, the best islands in the Americas and the Caribbean & the Atlantic were also ranked. You can see the full list here.

Croatia popular among tourists with 870,000 currently in the country


Croatia was also ranked among the world’s best countries to travel to in the same awards.

Croatia came in at no.14 on the list of best countries in the world to travel to in 2022 with a score of 88.33. Portugal was no.1 on the list with a score of 91.22, followed by Japan, Thailand and Singapore.
