Croatia Win Gold at World Schools Debating Championships in Singapore

debate2Croatia has won gold at the World Schools Debating Championships in Singapore…

The Croatia team – Martin Rosenzweig, Marija Jarnjak, Eta Krpanec, Tin Puljić and Luka Petrović – won gold in the non-english speaking region category, a great achievement for the Croatian students at the event which was held in Singapore from 25 July – 5 August.

Croatia beat Spain, Hungary, Bahrain, Argentina and Lithuania to become world champions of nations where english is not the first language.

“This success is the result of hard work and preparation. If we consider that only one decision was not in our favour the results are event better and the hard work paid off. The team will continue to work hard and hope for better results next year,” said coach of the Croatian National Team, Anastazija Stupar.

The students will return to Croatia from Singapore tomorrow.
