Croatia Marks Three Kings Feast with Public Holiday

CroatiaChristian Croatians will be taking down their Christmas trees all over the country as the nation observes Epiphany, the Feast of Three Kings, with a Public Holiday on Monday…

The feast of Three Kings is celebrated on the Twelfth Day of Christmas being January 6, and throughout history it has been a day where water is blessed, and homes sprinkled with blessed water to ‘ward off evil’. Many Croatians will also be taking part in other traditions on the day such as taking a dip in a nearby river or sea.
