Croatia 3rd Tallest Team at World Cup

CroatiaCroatia as a nation has always had a reputation of producing tall men and women, and Niko Kovač’s side at this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil lives up to that reputation…

Croatia are the 3rd tallest side at the World Cup, with their 23-man squad having an average of 1.84cm, or just over 6 foot per player. Croatia’s high ranking comes despite the presence of the diminutive Luka Modrić and Danijel Pranjić in the squad. The tallest squad is Germany (1.853cm), followed by the Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2nd place (1.85cm). The shortest team at the World Cup is Chile, with the average Chilean just 1.76cm.
