Pop Up by the Lake returns to Zagreb’s Bundek

ZAGREB, 27 May 2025 – Zagreb’s popular summer escape, Pop Up by the Lake powered by Schweppes, returns this week, bringing an even richer programme of entertainment and activities to Lake Bundek.

Starting Wednesday, 28 May, and running until the end of June, the popular lakeside oasis promises a vibrant mix of music, comedy, film nights, creative workshops and gourmet treats – all under the open sky and surrounded by nature.

Something for Everyone

Set beneath the leafy treetops by the water, this year’s edition features a mix of returning favourites and exciting new offerings.

Creative spirits can join workshops every Monday and Wednesday, including tote bag and pet bowl painting by SmART Mug, ceramic mug making by Morra Ceramics, and the ever-popular Paint & Wine sessions by Tipsy Muse – perfect for those who love to combine art with a good glass of wine.

Weekends at the Design Corner showcase unique, handcrafted items by local designers and artisans, while Gruntek will host engaging tastings and talks under the title “Bite the Difference”.

Sundays are reserved for relaxation, with yoga sessions under the open sky offering the ideal end to the week.

Laughter and Film Under the Stars

Tuesday nights promise plenty of laughs with Pop Up Comedy Tuesdays, featuring performances from well-known local and international stand-up comedians. Highlights include Aleks Curać Šarić with his crowd-favourite shows Best Of and No Censorship, as well as appearances by Saša Turković and Josip Gotovac.

English-speaking guests can look forward to the English Comedy Night, organised in collaboration with the Zagreb English Comedy team.

Cinephiles can enjoy open-air film screenings beneath the stars, with a line-up that includes cult classics and new releases such as Beetlejuice, The Wizard of Oz, Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine and more.

Food, Drinks and Sunsets

The festival’s culinary offer is curated by a trusted gastro team, serving up juicy gourmet burgers and refreshing cocktails. Whether enjoying a drink with friends at sunset or grabbing a bite during an evening event, there’s something to suit every taste.
