Close to 25% of famous Croatian football club Hajduk Split is now owned by the fans…

At 11:00 am on Sunday 16 October 2016 at Split’s People’s Square the Hajduk Split fans’ association ‘Naš Hajduk’ signed a contract which saw them take control of 24.53% of Hajduk Split shares from the Tommy company.

Naš Hajduk president Ivan Rilov told the large crowd that gathered that the process of democratisation of Hajduk Split is much bigger than the club itself. Rilov also detailed how fans will be able to get their name on Hajduk Split’s alternative kit for next season, an initiative which was announced last week.

“Every member of Hajduk Split can make a donation on the account of Naš Hajduk for how much they wish, and for those who make a deposit of at least 1,911 kuna (the club’s founding year) we have a special surprise organised. Their names will be on the new Hajduk Split shirts. The action is open until 30 November 2016”, Rilov said.
