Young Croatian director Maja Šubarić has won an award at the Manhattan International Film festival which was held in New York recently…
The 27-year-old was one of 13 finalists for her short documentary film “What we do”, which was selected from more than 130 films from all over the world. Šubarić’s film “What we do” is a touching and inspiring portrait of a person who has Down syndrome.
“It is an honour to be invited to New York for the festival, and even greater to be a winner. I am proud and happy that my documentary touched the public and the jury. Competition was big and I am happy that I had the chance to meet directors from various parts of the world,” said Maja after her victory.
