Australian National Basketball Team Preparing for FIBA Oceania Championships on Croatian Island

The Australian national basketball team have chosen the Croatian island of Pag to prepare for the upcoming FIBA Oceania Championships…
The team, known as the Boomers, are in Novalja on the island of Pag training and on the weekend invited local kids to their training before mingling and posing for photos afterwards. The Australian squad, which includes NBA star of Croatian descent Andrew Bogut, will play Lithuania next week before playing Slovenia in more warm up matches in early August.
The Boomers are not the first international sports team to prepare in Novalja. English Premier League club Manchester City have sent their elite development squad there recently.
