Zagreb Tourism Booming

The positive trend of tourists in Croatia visiting the capital Zagreb continues…

More and more tourists are adding Zagreb to their Croatian holiday itineraries, the latest statistics released from the Zagreb Tourist Board reveals.

In July 2016 there were 128,243 registered tourists in Zagreb, which was 12% more than the same month last year. Overnight stays were also up an impressive 34% to 253,192. In the first 7 months of 2016 there have been 571,582 tourist arrivals in the capital, 6% more than last year, and 1.07 million overnight stays, which is 15% more than 2015.

The most arrivals to Zagreb in July came from South Korea, Germany, Spain, USA and the UK. The Zagreb Tourist Board say that there is evidence that Zagreb is increasing becoming a destination for Croatian holiday-makers and that the trend will continue over the next few months.
