Zagreb Aims to Defend International Winter Bike to Work Title

Zagreb will once again aim to defend its title of having the highest number of people committed to take part on International Winter Bike Day.
International Winter Bike Day, which aims to get more bike riders on the road and encourages bikers to ride to work all year round, and not just when the weather is nice, will this year be held on 10 February 2017.
International Winter Bike Day is an initiative that was launched 5 years ago in Canada, with Zagreb taking part for the first time last year.
In 2015 and 2016 Zagreb topped the list for the number of participants in Europe.
New this year is a special ranking system for participating universities. Zagreb is currently doing well in that category also with 5 universities in Zagreb ranked in the Top 25.
