The race, which will be a classified International Cycling Association event (1st category) will be held in April next year and see the world’s best cyclist race from Dubrovnik to Istria, Zagreb and Varaždin. The race will be ranked just under the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. 20 professional teams, 200 organisers, 140 support crews and 6 trucks of equipment will make their way to Croatia for what will be the biggest cycling event the country has seen.

The Croatian Tourist Board will support the project by pumping around half a million euros into it. The race, which will act as a great promotion for Croatia, will be shown live on Eurosport.
