The world’s largest and most advanced aircraft carrier is set to visit Croatia once again.

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), the first-in-class aircraft carrier and flagship of Carrier Strike Group 12, will arrive in the Croatian city of Split for a scheduled port visit, the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb said in a statement.

This marks the Gerald R. Ford’s second visit to Split, following its previous stop in 2023,

The visit is part of its ongoing deployment in the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting readiness and maritime security of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and to reinforce U.S., Allied, and partner commitments to stability and security in Europe.
