World record sailing ship visits Zadar

The imposing Royal Clipper sailing ship has sailed into Zadar.

The ship measures an impressive 134.8 meters in length, and what makes it truly special is that it boasts the largest sail area of all known sailboats today – 5,202 square meters of sails spread across a total of five masts.

It has earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest full-rigged sailing ship in the world in service.

The Royal Clipper sails the Mediterranean in the summer and explores the southern Lesser Antilles in the winter. Her smaller size allows her to visit ports inaccessible to larger cruise ships.
