26 October 2019 – Croatia has won a total of 12 medals, including three golds, at the 2019 WAKO World Kickboxing Championships which have been held in Sarajevo.

Croatia now has two female and one male world champion after Nives Radić (ring). Marija Bodač (ring) and Boris Mišković (tatami) claimed gold medals.

Radić, who is from the Dalmatina kickboxing club in Šibenik, beat Brazilian Valdirene Stanski in the final of the low kick over 70 kg category, whilst Bodač, who fights out of the Pit Bull club in Split, was too good for Ukraine’s Uliana Miščenko in the final to win gold.
