Works Start on Split’s Westgate Towers Project

SplitMore than three years have passed since the project was announced, but works have finally started on the 65 million euro Westgate project in the Dalmatian city of Split…

Two towers, a 14-floor south tower and 17-floor north tower will be built at the entrance to Croatia’s largest port city. Named ‘Westgate’, the towers will be home to a 100-bed hotel, office space, congress centres, restaurants, bars and a bank. The towers are expected to be built within 16 months.

The architect behind the towers is Otto Barić, son of former Croatia football coach with the same name. Barić has designed a number of well-known projects, including the new handball stadium used in Qatar for the recent Handball World Championships.
