Volume of construction works in Croatia in May down 2.2% y-o-y

ZAGREB, July 26 – (Hina) – The volume of construction works in May 2020 was down 2.2% on the year and up 1.7% on the month, according to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

Year on year, the volume of construction works decreased by 4.4% on buildings and increased by 1.1% on civil engineer works.

Month on month, the volume of construction works increased by 0.9% on buildings and by 1.4% on civil engineer works.

The volume of construction works in the first five months of 2020 was 1.2% higher on the year.

In May 2020, 57.1% of hours worked on sites was spent on new constructions and 42.9% on reconstruction, repairs and maintenance, with 49.6% of hours spent on buildings and 50.4% on civil engineer works.
