A brand new website has launched this week which for the first time will offer visitors information, interesting facts and virtual tours of all Croatia’s National and Nature Parks…

The new portal www.parkovihrvatske.hr features everything one needs to know about Croatia’s 8 National Parks and 11 Nature Parks in 4 languages – Croatian, English, German and Italian. It is the first time all visitors can find out about all of the country’s parks in one spot on the net.

The site features parks such as Kornati, Brijuni, Plitvice, Risnjak, Velebit, Krka, Lastovsko Otocje, Vrankso Jezero, Biokovo, Mljet and more.

The site giver users the chance to take ‘virtual’ walks through the parks, plan trips to visit and obtain information about more than 280 attractions and 880 activities at the all the parks. The new portal also for the first time highlights all the activities that have been adapted for people with disabilities.

“Visitors will now for the first time in one place have all the information about the parks in Croatia – their value, programmes and attractions, and they will be able to plan activities and visits. Our primary goal is to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving these areas, but also to support the sustainable development of the region in which the parks are in,” Irina Zupan, Deputy Minister of Nature Protection, said at the launch of the new web portal.
