With just over four weeks remaining until Croatia take on Nigeria in the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the hype is starting to build with the release of the first fan’s song for the Croatian team.
Croatian rapper Stoka, who has 7 studio albums to his name, has teamed up JoomBoos and Matija Lazarević to record ‘Moja Croatia’. Stoka hopes the song will ‘unite the nation’ as the country gets into World Cup fever.
The song had its premiere today on the JoomBoos YouTube channel.
Zaprešić Boys, who have recorded the official supporters’ songs for Croatia for the last few major tournaments, are currently recording their song for Russia ‘Igraj moja Hrvatska’ which should be released soon.
Croatia faces Nigeria on 16 June before meeting Argentina on 21 June. Their final group match is against Iceland on 26 June.
