[VIDEO] Stipe Miočić Celebrates with Cleveland Croatians After UFC Title Defence

MMA: UFC 146-Miocic vs Del Rosario

Hard-hitting American-Croatian Stipe Miočić defended his UFC heavyweight title in his hometown of Cleveland on Saturday night…

Miočić knocked out Alistair Overeem in an exciting one-round brawl after being in trouble to retain his title in front of his hometown fans at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

“I train that s**t every day,” Miočić, who has won 7 of his past 8 fights, said, before adding. “I’m still the heavyweight champion of the world.”

Miočić, whose mother hails from Karlovac and father from near the Dalmatian town of Zadar, has visited and trained in Croatia on a few occasions recently with his idol Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipović. Miočić does not hide his love for Croatia, and just a few days before the fight declared that his country, full of warriors, was behind him.
