[VIDEO] Sting Returns to Pula Arena After 20 Years

Popular English singer Sting has entertained the large crowd which turned out last entertained Adriatic town of Pula.

Sting played at the impressive Pula Arena on Thursday night as part of his 57th & 9th Tour. It was his first concert in Pula since he last performed there in 1997.

The winner of 16 Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and four nominations for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, landed at Pula Airport at 14:30 on his private jet.

He greeted the crowd as he came out around 21:00 in Croatian by saying ‘Dobro večer Pula’ (Good evening, Pula) and then went through a repertoire of old and new hits, including at the start “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You”, “Message in a Bottle”, and “Englishman in New York”, much to the large crowd’s delight.

His son Joe Sumner (40) played as part of the warm-up act before joining his father on stage.

Sting’s twelfth solo studio album, 57th & 9th, his first rock/pop project in over a decade, was released in November last year.
