[VIDEO] Mario Mandžukić Wins UEFA Goal of the Season Award

Juventus’ Croatian striker Mario Mandžukić has won the 2016-17 UEFA Goal of the Season award for his overhead stunner in the final of the Champions League against Real Madrid in June.

On Tuesday UEFA announced the winner after voting from all around the world ended with Mandžukić taking the title.

Mandžukić’s goal, which levelled the UEFA Champions League final up at 1-1, was an extraordinary strike.

The build-up to the goal saw Bonucci send a long ball to Sandro on the left, who knocked it in first-time to Higuain. The Argentine then volleyed it to Mandžukić who chested the ball up, before an overhead kick that beat the hapless Navas in the Madrid goal.
