Kovač says that midfielder Luka Modrić, who has not played a game of football since limping off against Italy last November with a thigh muscle injury, should be fit for the 28 March encounter in Croatia.
“I am in constant touch with him and from what he told me, I conclude that he’ll be fully fit for the match”, Kovač told 24sata.
“He’s told me he’s doing much better and will resume training with a ball and the rest of the Real Madrid team shortly. Right now he’s still having treatment and is restricted to working out in the gym”, Croatia’s coach said.
