VIDEO: Croatian football fans select goal of the year

ZAGREB, 31 December 2018 – Croatian football fans have selected Mario Mandžukić’s strike that sent Croatia into the World Cup final as the goal of the year.
Mandžukić’s left-foot winner past England keeper Jordan Pickford deep into extra-time in the World Cup semi-final came out on top in a poll conducted amongst fans on the Croatian Football Federation Facebook page.
The Juventus striker’s goal got 68% of the votes in the final head-to-head vote over Luka Modrić’s strike against Argentina which received 32%.
Ivan Perišić’s equaliser against England in the semi-final, and Ante Rebić’s opener against Argentina were the two other goals in the top four.
