VIDEO: American Filmmaker Wins ZagrebDox International Competition

American filmmaker Josh Gibson has won the Big Stamp Award in the International Competition of the 9th ZagrebDox Film Festival held in the Croatian capital this week for his film Kudzu Vine, it was announced on Saturday night.

In the Regional Competition the winner of the Big Stamp award went to “Tzvetanka” by Bulgarian-born director Youlian Tabakov. Tzvetanka, is a story about a simple Bulgarian doctor which also conveys a universal message as it  takes viewers through the most intimate moments of the main protagonist’s life.

This year’s ZagrebDox has been one of the most successful in its 9 year history, with sell-out screenings most of the week. The official closing is on Sunday evening.
