Venues for Croatia’s final two matches in 2019 announced

ZAGREB, 11 July 2019 – The 15th session of the Executive Committee of the Croatian Football Federation was held today in Zagreb, chaired by the president Davor Suker.

The HNS Executive Committee made decisions today at the meeting regarding the last two home matches of the Croatian national team for this calendar year.

It was decided that Croatia will play their final qualifying match for EURO 2020, against Slovakia on November 16 at 20:45, in Rijeka. Croatia last played in Rijeka in the UEFA Nations League when they drew with England 0-0 in October last year.

Three days later, Croatia will play an international friendly against Georgia at Aldo Drosin Stadium in Pula.

Croatia’s next two EURO 2020 qualifying matches will both be away. On 6 September, they travel to Slovakia, before heading to Azerbaijan on 9 September.

Croatia will return to Poljud stadium in Split after a long absence on 10 October when they play what will be an important qualifier against current table-toppers Hungary. The match will kick-off at 20:45.
