Tourism Generates €2.12 Billion in First 6 Months of 2014

Croatia33Croatia’s Minister of Tourism has revealed that revenues generated from tourism in the first six months of 2014 totalled 2.12 billion euros, which was 2.2% more than the same period last year…

“The tourism year till now has been extremely successful, and financial and physical growth shows just how more attractive and popular Croatia is becoming as a destination among tourists from all over the world,” said Minister Darko Lorencin, adding that he expects the trend of the first six months to continue for the remainder of the year.

According to the statistics released yesterday, tourism made up 10.3 of Croatia’s total Gross Domestic Product, which was a 0.4% share more than in the same period last year.
