Tickets Sell Out in 60 Minutes for Croatian Ice Hockey Side’s KHL Debut

ticketsIce Hockey fans in Croatia had to be quick when tickets for Zagreb club Medveščak’s debut match in the Russian KHL went on sale this week.

In just one hour all tickets for Medveščak v CSKA Moscow at Zagreb’s Dom Sportova on 6 September were snapped up, as fans from all over the country look to watch the Croatians play in what is considered the strongest ice hockey league in the world behind the NHL. Tickets are currently on sale for Medveščak’s remaining three matches on 8 September against Dinamo Riga, on 10 September against Lev, and on 13 September against Slovan. Tickets for Medveščak’s opening match were purchased in Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Split, Osijek, Varaždin, Rijeka, Pula, Istria, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
