Rebic, who was a stand out for Croatia at the recent U-20 World Cup, is a tall, aggressive striker, and has been compared to Croatia’s legendary striker, now assistant coach, Alen Boksic, is set to come off the bench in tonight’s match. Stimac has not been shy in throwing blooding young players into the side, giving fellow teenagers Mateo Kovacic and Josip Radosevic their first full international caps. Croatia will be without the injured Niko Kranjcar, Sammir, Kovacic, Ivan Strinic and Joe Simunic for tonight’s match.
