31-year-old Croatian hobby artist Aleksandra Janeković Šribar has been making an impression with her eye-catching portraits.
Aleksandra’s portraits, done using pencil and sometimes dry crayon, have captured the attention of a number of art publications, including Made in Shoreditch, The Awesome Daily, Artists Inspire Artists and Look4ward.
Whilst having never studied art at art school, the Zagreb-based economics graduate has had a love for art her whole life.
“I have been drawing periodically all my life, but have been vigorously drawing in the last few years. Whenever I have free time, I try to use it to make some art,” she says.
Her goal with her portrait drawings is capturing the soul and beauty of people on paper through their expressions, emphasizing their most remarkable features.
