Strudel capital of Croatia to host 4th ŠtrudlaFest in September

22 August 2019 – The small Croatian town of Jaškovo, near Ozalj, which previously held the Guinness record for the world’s longest strudel – 1,479.38 metres – is continuing the story of its favourite pastry by hosting a festival dedicated to it next month. 

The 4th edition of the festival dedicated to the strudel, ŠtrudlaFest, will be held on 8 September 2019 in Jaškovo. Over 70 strudel producers will make various types of strudels which will also be for sale on the day.

Hosted by Doris Pincic Rogoznica, there will also be a contest to find the best strudel and workshops for young and old to learn all about the famous pastry during the day-long festival.

Other attractions at the 4th ŠtrudlaFest will include a gladiator battle, horse-riding, a music programme, performances from local culture groups and a music programme.
