Stimac Names New Cap Rebic In Squad To Face Liechtenstein

Croatia coach Igor Stimac has named young Croatian U-19 international Ante Rebic to face Liechtenstein in Vaduz in a friendly on 14 August.

Rebic (19), who plays for RNK Split in Croatia, is the only new cap in the squad of 23 which is missing injured players Niko Kranjcar, Sammir and Mateo Kovacic, whilst Ivan Strinic has been given dispensation as his wife is expected to give birth at that time. The full squad of 23, to be cut to 20, is:

Defenders: Darijo Srna, Domagoj Vida, Hrvoje Milic, Igor Bubnjic, Vedran Corluka, Dejan Lovren, Joe Simunic, Gordon Schildenfeld
Midfielders: Ognjen Vukojevic, Arijan Ademi, Milan Badelj, Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Alen Halilovic, Ivan Perisic
Strikers: Ante Rebic, Mario Mandzukic, Ivica Olic, Eduardo Da Silva, Nikola Kalinic, Nikica Jelavic
