Some Respite: No Job Cuts At Most Of Croatia’s Largest Firms In 2013

After four years of mass redundancies in the country, most of Croatia’s largest employers have promised that there will be no further job cuts in 2013.

Croatia’s largest privately owned company Agrokor, which employs around 40,000 people, will not be letting any staff go this year.

“Agrokor do not plan to cut staff in 2013,” was the brief statement from the offices of the food giants.

Croatia’s leading pharmaceutical company Pliva, who have close to 2,000 employees, have also stated that they do not plan to reduce staffing numbers in 2013. Pliva were one of the few companies in 2011 and 2012 to increase staffing numbers by more than 200. Croatian Telecom have also indicated that there will be no cuts in 2013.
