Sold Out Kantrida Stadium in Rijeka To Greet VfB Stuttgart in UEFA Europa League Play-Off

hnk-rijekaWith 2 Croatian football clubs still remaining in European competitions, Rijeka will be looking for a better result than what Dinamo Zagreb managed to acheive last night, when they welcome Germany’s VfB Stuttgart in the 1st leg of UEFA Europa League play-offs tonight (8:30pm).

Rijeka’s Kantrida is sold out for tonight’s match, one of the biggest in the club’s recent history. There is one man on the Stuttgart staff who will know their Croatian opponents better than most. Stuttgart’s sporting director Fredi Bobic played out his career with Rijeka in 2006. Rijeka are unbeaten so far this season with three draws and three wins and lie sixth in the Croatian League.
