Slovenia Set To Shut Door On Croatian Job Seekers For 2 Years

The Slovenian government are set to pass a bill which will mean that their labour market will be closed to Croatian workers for a two-year transitional period after Croatia’s accession to the EU on 1 July this year.

According to the bill prepared by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Welfare, the Slovenian government would enforce a two-year transitional period for Croatian job seekers until 31 June 2015. The Slovenian government’s Bureau of Public Affairs announced on Wednesday that the new bill was a matter of urgency for Parliament deal with.
