Šibenik to host its first street food festival

Sibenik hosting street food festival

Next week, the Dalmatian city of Šibenik will host its first street food festival. 

On Tuesday, June 8, the first street food festival ŠIBENIK SPRING, will open in Šibenik. The festival, which will be held on the green oasis of Robert Visiani Park, will last until Saturday, June 12.

Visitors can expect a range of street food during the festival, including burgers, sticky and crispy chicken wings and pulled pork, porchetta in flat bread and tuna ceviche in tacos, lamb, pako tortillas, Skradin chocolates, Šibenik gibanica, as well as healthy juices, frappes, cocktails and smoothies, traditional Dalmatian platters and more. There will be various beverage providers on hand also.

As well as street food, there will be a music programme for all tastes. Croatian saxophonist Jakša Jordes, accompanied by DJ Kresh, will play on the opening night. 

On June 9, DJ Matthew Bee will perform, while on the following two nights, DJ Bakula and DJ Bake senior will play. On Saturday, June 12, the festival will be closed by Šibenik saxophonist Chuck Borris accompanied by DJ PaleolitiKa.

The opening hours of the festival are daily from 5pm to 11pm and on Saturday 12 June from 11am to 11pm. Admission is free.

The organizer of the festival is the S2 group, with the support of the City of Šibenik, the Tourist Board of Šibenik and Šibenik-Knin County and the Tourist Board of Šibenik-Knin County.
