Last summer AccuWeather were pretty much bang on with their long-range forecast for Croatia, if they are to be correct again then it is set to be a summer of extremes…

According to the leading global meteorology forecasting service, this summer will be a very dry and hot one. Some parts of the country will see less than half the average amount of rainfall.

Whilst frequent wet fronts will hit western Europe during the summer, the south and Croatia will be dominated by extreme heat and dry spells. Temperatures for most of the summer in the south, including south and central Italy, Croatia and the southern parts of the Balkans, will be above average.

“The heat in the southern Balkan Peninsula could result in the warmest summer in recent years,” says AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alan Reppert.
