Sandra Perkovic Claims Gold At IAAF World Championships

Croatian discuss thrower Sandra Perkovic has won gold at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow on Sunday.

The Olympic gold medalist easily claimed the World Championship after throwing 67.99 metres in the final at the Luzhniki stadium, with 3 of her attempts clearing 67 metres. Congratulations quickly came in on Sunday after Perkovic’s phenomenal achievement, with Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic and the Dinamo Zagreb football club the first to heap praise.

“The players, staff and board of GNK Dinamo Zagreb wish to sincerely congratulate our Sandra Perkovic for winning gold in Moscow. Bravo Sandra!,” said a statement from Dinamo Zagreb football club.
