Russian Catches Taxi From Vienna to Dubrovnik then Does a Runner

Croatian police have arrested a 38-year-old Russian national at the Karasovići border, after he was suspected of running off from a taxi without paying which he caught from Vienna to Dubrovnik…

Daily 24sata reports that on 4 May the suspect had taken a taxi from the Austrian capital and told the driver to take him to the Croatian coastal city of Dubrovnik. When the taxi arrived in Dubrovnik the man said he needed to use a ATM machine to get the 1,000 euros needed for his fare. The Russian got out of the taxi and proceeded to run off. The 44-year-old Austrian tax driver reported the man to police who then arrested him at the border.
