Ivan Maslać, the commercial director of Dubrovnik Airport, told HRT that he anticipates an exceptionally dynamic first week of the summer flight schedule, with over 170 airplanes scheduled and approximately 30,000 vacant seats.

Strong start sets the tone for April

Despite the early stage of the tourist season, around thirty hotels have already opened their doors in Dubrovnik.

Mario Matković, director of the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik hotel, reports exceptional occupancy rates, nearing full capacity. The influx of 30 planes expected the following day signals a resurgence of life in Dubrovnik.

More than 3000 guests, from Europe and beyond, are spending their Easter holidays in the city, eager to explore its renowned attractions and culinary offerings.

3 million passengers

Optimistic forecasts indicate a promising trajectory for the year, with anticipated passenger volumes at Dubrovnik Airport exceeding 3 million for the first time.

Đani Banovac, representing the Dubrovnik Hospitality Guild, underscores the city’s commitment to maintaining its tourism excellence. He emphasises the importance of cohesion between guests and residents, expressing confidence in Dubrovnik’s ability to thrive year-round.

Addressing challenges such as workforce shortages in Croatian tourism, Banovac highlights proactive measures taken by industry players to ensure a seamless experience for both guests and locals.
