Croatian President Ivo Josipović began a two-day state visit to Turkmenistan on Monday with a meeting with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, in which he stressed that Croatia wants to be a good partner of Turkmenistan…
After the welcoming ceremony and national anthems, the two presidents held a conversation in private, where they both expressed a desire that the visit would improve relations between the two countries in all fields, and especially economic relations.
“Croatia wants to be a good partner with your country,” said the Croatian President.
Due to the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two nations, representatives of 17 Croatian companies were also in Turkmenistan to attend a business forum there this week. Croatian companies from the energy sector, machining, engineering, metal processing industry, shipbuilding and tourism would be presented at the business forum. The first two ships built by Croatian company Uljanik would also soon sail into Turkmenbaši port.
