Police Rescue Missing Croatian Teen in London

LondonA 19-year Croatian girl who was reported missing in Croatia earlier this week has been found by police in London after calls for help.

The teenager, originally from Dubrovnik but studying in Zagreb, flew to London earlier in the week to meet a man she had met and been chatting with on the internet. Tportal reports that the man proceeded to hold the girl hostage and confiscated her mobile phone. Luckily British police tracked a signal from a second mobile phone she had in her bag after her mother reported her missing. The man, who reportedly has a criminal record, has been arrested. The girl is currently with the Croatian Embassy in London awaiting to make her way back to Croatia.
