Police Investigate Tear Gas Drone Sent to Disrupt Derby at Maksimir Stadium

Local media on Monday reported that a drone, carrying tear gas, crashed on its way to Zagreb’s Maksimir stadium during Saturday’s Croatian football derby. The unmanned aerial vehicle reportedly crashed just outside the stadium, and today police confirmed that a drone was found at 18:30 nearby the stadium, reported Novi list.

“Investigations are currently going on so we can not reveal any details,” said a police spokesperson.

There were 16,000 fans at Maksimir stadium for Saturday’s derby which was won comfortably by Dinamo Zagreb 4-0.
