In cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board, a new art project representing a completely different street exhibition continues

ZAGREB, 27 July 2021 – Organised by the artistic collective Pimp My Pump and the Zagreb Tourist Board, the second cycle of Ulični triptih (Street triptych) has been completed.

Ulični triptih is a new project which sees the streets of Zagreb enriched with small, colourful street art masterpieces.

This time, the selected street panels were painted by three talented female Croatian artists, thus giving the second cycle of the unique “exhibition in change” a women’s touch.

Talented artist OKO painted ‘Multiple friendships’ at the main location of the project – the Zagreb Tourist Board Centre for Visitors on Trg bana Jelačića 11.

“There is a moment in life when we separate from our own family, and before we have it, then our friends are everything, they are our family. The more colourful friendships we have, the more magical our lives are. This is work for all friends, some past, some future. For all those moments of support, laughter and tears. For all of us,” OKO said.

“Passionate, red is what comes to my mind when I think of my favourite city, primarily because of the Šestinski umbrella, one of the the most recognisable motifs of Zagreb. After a long time, various misfortunes that befell the city, people finally begin to gather and get lost in the hustle and bustle. A colourful team flows through the streets like water, and an umbrella protects them all from the weather, problems and bad mood,” Tea said about her work.

The third location, also new in this cycle, is located in Opatovina Park where artist Sanja Stojković painted ‘View through the window into a more beautiful world.’

“We all need a little more optimism and happier colours, we just have to learn to look in that direction. The scenography is set in Opatovina, and it is up to you to imagine what you can see by looking out the window, and this time on the streets of Zagreb,” explained Sanja.

The Ulični triptih exhibition will change in cycles – every three months, three new works of art will appear on the panels with the signatures of various authors from all over Croatia.

Also, as an additional element of surprise, one of the three locations will be different each time, so from the first round of painting on the steps of the Dolac market, the work of Mislav Lešić under the name Street Rhapsody is still there.

The next paintings has been announced for the last quarter of 2021, and until then you have the opportunity to see this free exhibition in the centre of Zagreb every day.
