ZAGREB, 22 May 2020 – One of the world’s largest commercial cargo aircraft, the Antonov An-124, has landed at Zagreb Airport on Friday.

The aircraft drew a lot of attention and snaps from aviation enthusiasts.

The An-124 was, for thirty years, the world’s heaviest gross weight production cargo airplane and second heaviest operating cargo aircraft, behind the one-off Antonov An-225 Mriya (a greatly enlarged design based on the An-124). The An-124 remains the largest military transport aircraft in current service.

The Antonov An-225 was the biggest aircraft in the world when it landed for the first time in Croatia at Zagreb Airport back in 2013. Then the aircraft was used to pick up and deliver a transformer that Croatian company Končar produced for a buyer in the Philippines.
