A mural dedicated to Croatian mothers in the city of Vukovar has been restored.

The mural, which touches hearts and leaves its image etched in the minds of all who pass by it, has been restored after an initiative of the Council for Veterans of the Mayor of Vukovar.

The mural features Janja Brdar, the mother of HOS member Ivan Brdar, who lost his life on Sajmište on October 12, 1991.

A photograph of his grieving and inconsolable mother taken during his exhumation in 1998 served as the inspiration for the mural.
