The grand opening of the exhibition “In the Beginning Was the Kingdom” to celebrate the 1,100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom opened at the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery in Zagreb last night.

Featuring more than 400 artefacts gathered from museums and collections across Croatia and abroad, the exhibition offers a remarkable journey through key moments in Croatian history.

Among the standout pieces are the Baptismal Font of Prince Višeslav and the Baška Tablet, both iconic symbols of Croatia’s early statehood and cultural identity.
