The first theme park built-in Croatia will open its doors to the public in June this year.

Construction is in full swing at Fun Park Mirnovec, which is located 2 km south of the Dalmatian town of Biograd na Moru.

Designed by Italian Amusement Design specialists Bausaa, it will be the first theme park in Croatia based on Gardaland in Italy, and theme parks in Florida and Orlando.

The theme park, which spans over 45,000 square metres, will have 26 attractions in three themes – Pirate town, Wild West and Space.

As well as attractions such as roller coasters, carousels and water rides, the park will have the 30-metre high ‘Adriatic Eye’, like the London Eye, which will have a view out to Pašman island.

The park will have three sections – a children’s section, a family section and a section for teenagers with adrenalin rides – and also an electronic games and simulators hall.

There will also be a range of firework spectacles. There will also be restaurants and cafes at the park.

Investors are expecting to draw in 180,000 visitors in the first year and employ around 70 people.
