Good news for dumpling fans in Zagreb.
The first dumpling-dedicated boutique opens in the Oktogon passageway which connects Petar Preradović Square with Ilica street in downtown Zagreb on Friday 13 July.
Servus – Knedle s potpisom offers only dumplings, or knedle as they are known in Croatia. The unique boutique will offer sweet and savoury dumplings with a variety of different flavours.
All dumplings at Servus will be handmade and some options on the menu include dumplings with plums, pancetta and dried figs, spinach and mozzarella, raspberries and white chocolate, blackberries and dark chocolate, Oreo biscuits, Nutella, hazelnut and more.
“You are welcome to the opening where we will treat you with a dumpling and coffee of choice. We look forward to you coming down,” Servus said on the eve of opening.
Dumplings are commonly found in Central European and East European cuisine and are usually made from flour, bread or potatoes. They are often served as a side dish, but can also be a dessert such as plum dumplings, or even meatballs in soup. Many varieties and variations exist.
