Over 120,000 Show Support for Joe Šimunić

CWMore than 120,000 people have shown their support for suspended Croatian defender Joe Šimunić by signing an online petition initiated by the 105-cap veteran’s lawyer…

Šimunić’s Germany-based lawyer Davor Prtenjača began an online petition carrying the slogan “With Josip at the World Cup in Brazil 2014!! just over two weeks ago, and at last count the petition had over 126,000 signatures.  Prtenjača, who is appealing FIFA’s 10-match ban on behalf of the experienced defender, wants people to sign up to show their support to add weight to his appeal application as he looks to get the decision overturned by FIFA. A large number of the signatures gathered have come from Croatia’s diaspora.
