Osijek Named as Hosts of Croatia v Canada Davis Cup Tie

It has been decided that the eastern city of Osijek will host the Davis Cup clash between Croatia and Osijek.

The Croatian Tennis Association announced that Osijek will be the hosts when Croatia take on Canada in the first round of the Davis Cup World Group on 2-4 February 2018.

Gradski Vrt indoor hall will host the match. It will be the third time that Osijek has hosted a Davis Cup match after hosting ties against Spain and Morocco.

Croatia qualified for the World when they defeated Colombia 3-1 in September thanks largely to Marin Cilic who won all the three matches he took part in.

“It is an attractive draw, but a difficult one for us,” Croatia’s coach Zeljko Krajan said after learning Croatia would face Canada.
